The Retail version of OS X only allows a license for a single Mac. You can however uninstall it from one Mac and the install on another.

If you wish to use OS X on more than one Mac at a time then you should purchase the 'Family-pack' which gives you the license to install on up to five Macs within one household.

Hello Gerald,

The "Single User Software License Agreement", referred to by mrtotes, can be viewed here Software License Agreement.

Which states "2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions. This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on a single computer at a time. This License does not allow the Apple Software to exist on more than one computer at a time, and you may not make the Apple Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple computers at the same time...."

Good Luck!
