New Serial Number label?

Hello,

after a repair of my MacBook's topcase I'm missing the Serial Number label in the battery compartment.

It's still visible/readable in OS X though.
But now I'm afraid that in case my hardware has a serious crash I can't prove anyone 1. that it's my laptop and 2. that it still has guarantee on it.

As I expect my old one to be lost ...is there a way I can receive a replacement label from Apple?

Thank you all in advance.

As long as your MacBook was repaired by an Apple Authorized Service Provider, there will be a record, so Apple should take your word for what your serial number is. The serial number is printed on the outside of the box the MacBook came in, if you need to find it later.

If your logic board is replaced entirely, there should be a new serial number sticker that comes with it. But, if they didn't give it to you during the repair, that label is probably lost. Was the logic board replaced or was it another part related to the case?

It actually was the TopCase (which contains the sticker).
So I still have the same serial number as I had before but it's not verifiable without the system running.

I'll be abroad for quite a while and I had just ordered AppleCare (hasn't been registered yet though) so that I can relax, but now I'm slightly worried it could be hard to prove there that my MacBook is an AppleCare protected one registered at Apple.
