How to add tags to movies and videos

I know you can do this in QT Pro. Is there any decent software - or method that allows you to add metadata tags to a set of video clips/chapters?

What I mean is, I can open the file in Hootenanny, edit metadata and save it. But when it's imported into iTunes, the metadata gets lost.

I will try again, but all tips - and alternatives - are welcome.

I prefer either Parsley Is Atomically Delicious or Lostify for tagging up my videos. Nice GUI front ends, drag & drop files, etc.
