This occurs when your computer is selected to startup/boot from a network instead of the HDD.

Start up the computer and hold down the alt/option key when you are starting it up. This will activate startup manager, select the HDD as the boot device and click the arrow underneath to boot from it.

If the computer still starts up but you still see the flashing globe icon then you can always goto System Preferences > Startup and choose the Macintosh HDD there to be the primary boot device.

Either way you do it, its trying to start up from a network, so redirect it or assign the hard disk as the main boot device and this should fix the problem.
