mounting a smb/cifs share

Hi!

One annoying limitation of Apple TV is, that it can't access SMB/CIFS shares.

Thanks to the work of other people you can now open local files in BackRow:
http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/ATVFiles

and mount a remote drive via AFP:

But what about SMB/CIFS? It's not build in, so you have to add smb support to the apple-tv kernel. How can this be accomplished?

best regards
Andreas

PS: Hopefully the patchstick ( http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Patchstick) is working soon. Wouldn't it be a great idea for apple to support this great community?
