So, you realize that you can use the iChat application to IM on AOL, right? There may be one or two "bells and whistles" features that AIM has that iChat does not, but AIM does not support the audio/video piece. That is strictly an iChat functionality (insofar as AOL is concerned). Unless there is a specific reason (or specific bell or whistle that iChat does not have, AIM does have, and that you can't live without) that makes you think you need AIM, I would be inclined to recommend that you stick with iChat for your AOL text IM'ing.
