It might, but might not. Generally, an install disc (gray) from one model Mac will not work with a different model Mac. You need a universal/retail install disc (white w/orange 9). Here's a good source. Apple Rescue http://www.applerescue.com

OWC (Other World Computing) was selling iMac OS 9.1 CDs with the same description and I assume they sold a lot of them, but they are no longer available. I would buy one of these iMac 9.2.2 CDs for the Wallstreet, but for $10 more you can buy a 9.2.1 CD that will install on any supported computer from the link Tom provided.

Although not pulling a fast one, if you notice on all of their items, in small print, it says OEM.

What you will probably get is disks that look like these:

I hope I'm wrong about this, I'm just looking at the ads involved. When I clicked on one of the links, it showed a picture of the disks referenced above.

As Tom (Texas Mac Man) indicated, Applerescue sells only universal installers (white disk, orange 9). I have personally purchased OS 9 from them and they are true to their word.
