Can I connect to a Pioneer Elite HDTV via Airport Extreme??

Hi All,

I just bought a nice 42" Pioneer Elite HDTV (I definitely recommend, btw, if you're on the market). It has a built-in media center and ethernet port and supposedly will display media via Windows Media Connect. Is it possible to connect the TV to one of the ethernet ports on the back of the Airport Extreme and use the TV as a peripherally connected display??

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex - did you ever get this connected and, if so, what use did you get from it? I just purchased the 50" Pioneer Elite HDTV and was wondering whether/how to connect via ethernet to its built-in media center using an Airport Express (connected wirelessly to a Airport Extreme 802.11n network) and what use was possible if connected.

TIA

I have the Pro 940HD and have connected with ethernet to the airport extreme network. Its a simple plug and play. The network seems to only read Windows formatted disks though. I have a d-link drive for my sonos system that the Network Media can detect and read the whole drive. But my USB connected, Mac formatted drive (on the airport), is unreadable. I believe that the Elite can only read windows/linux formatted drives.
