Photobooth

I need help for using Photo Booth in Mac Book. Here is the problem, while I was using Photo booth by posing the inappropriate act wihtout pressing any capture button and open the website at the same time, my battery went low and soon it was automitically shut down. I like to know whether

1. the pose that I did before the com was shut down will be recorded in Anywhere in my Mac book??, if so please kindly tell me where it will be recorded and how to delete it

2. before the computer was automatically shut down, I believe that my last post on photo booth will be remained in the photobooth screen. This is because when I charge the battery and run the photobooth, my last pose is still there. So, I would like to know that this remained post will be recorded or kept in anywhere in my computer??

3. while i'm using photobooth without pressing any capture button, is it possible that my post will be hacked through the internet??? Also, referred to the situation in number 2, my post on the remained screen will be hacked through the internet??

4. If my MAC Book was hacked, how am I supposed to know?? and can I check what information I was hacked?? if yes, please kindly tell me.

5. I've heard that if I use MAC, the chance to be hacked through the internet is Zero, is it true??

I would like to inform you again that there is no any capture button pressing while I pose my act. For your information, my internet is wireless and I use linksys.

Please kindly help me solve this problem, I'm so nervous about it and please kindly be sure for the answer

I will be waiting for your response, thank you so much

1. I don't know how it would be. If it's not in the app Photo Booth then it's not anywhere. If it is in Photo Booth, then press the x button under it.
2. I'm not sure what you're trying to say? If the image is stored on your system (which, like I said, I don't know how it would be) then you can always go into the Photo Booth app and delete it.
3. No, it's not possible.
4. Why are you so worried your MB will be hacked?
5. Yes, it's basically zero.

Photo Booth does not connect directly to the Internet. I'm not sure how anyone could see your Photo Booth picture unless you took the time to click the "email" button and email the picture to someone.

The pictures you do take with Photo Booth appear in your "Pictures" folder in a "Photo Booth" folder. You can delete them out of that folder without opening the Photo Booth program.

Dear Douglas,

I'm quite new for Mac, thank you for your help. Anyway I have further question to ask you relating to what you replied. What you wrote means that if I didn't press any capture button, and the picture on the screen will be keep moving as I pose, these posts will not be recorded in my computer and definitely not be hacked??

what would your answer changed if my sharing in the system preference in MAC book is set to be Window Sharing and Personal File Sharing. Also, as I mentioned in number 2, do you know what I mean?? I mean like before it was automatically shut down, the photobooth will keep your last post on the screen. So when I charge the battery, I found that my last post is remained in the screen. I'm curious that is it possible to hack this picture.

Moreover, since I use wireless internet, do I get it right that the hacker can get into anywhere of your computer; therefore, eventhough photobooth is not connected to the internet, it can be hacked??

Thank you

Although Photo Booth shows you a moving, "live" picture, those images are NOT being broadcast anywhere. Photo Booth does not have access to the Internet itself. You would have to capture a picture and purposefully post it on the Internet yourself. In 15 years of doing Apple/Macintosh support, I have never, ever heard of anyone "hacking" into a Mac. You have nothing to worry about unless you email that picture to someone on purpose.

First:
The File sharing option is just for the one folder named "shared" in your user folder. Anything outside of that is not accessable to anyone exept you or those over your sholder.

Second:
Macs are vertually Hack-Proof. There are ways to get into OSX for hacking perposes but (i hope i dont jinx this) hackers go after the much larger 90% of the world Windows users, instead of the 5% who use mac. Your safe, and if your still worried, get firewall or virus protection software.
