How do I set contrast to default?

Hello forum land,

I am trying to calibrate my screen using OptiCal. Its asking me to reset contrast to default setting. How do I do this?

Greetings,

Setting your contrast to default would depend on what kind of display you have. In the laptop it would be in System Prefs/Displays/Calibrate. On a remote display it's dependent on the monitor itself.

I have the standard LCD monitor on G4 Powerbook. I tried to change contrast in pref/display but that still doesn't reset factory default.

Any help would be grand?!

Go into Prefs/Displays/Color, and then Calibrate. The first step in the process asks you which gamma you wish to set, choose the one that's not TV, I think it's called Apple or something.

Finish the calibration, and you'll then be at factory defaults. (I think there's a default on each test that you can just use)
