how to type square and cubic meter symbol

I have had my imac for over a year and a half now,very pleased with this product,but i still have not found the appropriate symbol key for square meters and cubic meters. What i do now is copy and paste these symbols from previous documents i made back in my windows period which had a specific key for these symbols on the keyboard. Can anyone help me out on this one,i am using an  azerty keybord.

G5,ipod 60 gb, tv ,xp laptop Mac OS X (10.4.9)

You can even add the superscript command to your toolbar

I don't think you can make these from the keyboard. Use the Character Palette (Edit > Special Characters), Unicode numbers 00B2 and 00B3.

Or try Format > Font > Baseline > Superscript

Do you mean you want to do superscript 2 and superscript 3? If so, Tom's suggestion is what you want -- use the built-in superscript formatting feature.
