Error code 1218 and 1429
Just to let those out there know......
My Ipod was less than a year old.It went into restore mode, asking to get hooked up to my computer to restore itself.....Well. After fifty or so attempts, I still kept receiving one of two error codes while attempting to restore. (One of those codes I couldn't even find.)
I went to the Apple store, only to find that the hard drive had crashed. So, my suggestion.....if you are still in the limited warrenty stage (less than a year) but over 180 days, they will still charge you $35 in service fees. I bought the Apple Care for $60. It extends the warrenty another year.
