iTunes messing up my mp3s?

Hello,

Recently I've encountered a few MP3s that iTunes constantly messes up. For example, one song that i have when i add album artwork to it, iTunes adds an extra 40 seconds to the length of the song, and at the 40 second mark the song will start from the beginning again. When I go to view the album artwork, it dissapears (but it was there before). When i try to add the album artwork again, it adds ANOTHER 40 seconds to the end.

Having similar problems with iTunes not allowing me to add lyrics, which are there when i paste them in, but later dissapear.

Any ideas on whats causing this and perhaps to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance everyone!!

If these are MP3 files and use Variable Bit Rates, they could be messed up as some apps used to encode the MP3 do not store the info correctly.

Try this -> VBRFix

good idea, i just checked but that didnt seem to be the problem either, although does seem as though a logical solution 🙂

its weird...most people say that problems arise when you dont use itunes to encode the mp3...here's one that keeps deleting the lyrics and was actually encoded using itunes
