Arabic websites not turning out right?

whenever i go to a website where the language is arabic, all of the letters are there but they are not connected and it makes it very difficult to read. i tried going to text encoding and changing it to a different form of arabic but it still doesn't work. what do i do?

I certainly can't read Arabic, but for comparison sake, I'm at my office on a Dell computer. I just went to the Aljazeera website and copied/pasted a portion of a sentence. I have no idea what I just pasted:

تقدم نيكولا ساركوزي على منافس

What I see are approximatedly five words with joined characters, and a space separation between the words. Perhaps some inflection character has a slight separation.
