GeoX codec

i have an .avi file that wont play in quicktime or windows media player, I've tried playing it on a PC with windows media player and the codec it requires is GeoX which I've downloaded on the pc and can play the avi now. The issue is I need to be able to view the avi file on a Mac but have been unable to find a GeoX codec for quicktime. the avi is a surveillance file. Any suggestions??
