.docx support?

Not sure about Pages but NeoOffice might, though it seems to be at the experimental stage. You could always report a bug to them if you had trouble, have a read of this:

Pages 2.0 does not have .docx support.

still on original pages, but was going to upgrade
anyway.

Pages 2 doesn't. But apparently TextEdit in Mac OS X 10.5 will support it when it goes on sale in October. This suggests the next version of Pages will also support .docx.

Unfortunately, I really need .docx (the new word
format) support at work - or if Pages 2 can support
it that's great.

There's a Dashboard widget that converts .docx files to HTML, if that helps.
