Where is Quartz Extreme?

Hi everyone,

My PVR hooked up to my MacPro occasionnaly stutter and give me choppiness as I watch TV programs. From what I remember, the requirement of the manufacturer is to have Quartz Extreme.

Forgive my complete ignorance on this matter, but how do I find out if my MacPro is equipped with Quartz Extreme. My graphics card is the base model NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256 MB.

Could it mean that I would need to purchase the ATI Radeon X1900 512 MB (although I'm trying to avoid that expense/purchase)to get smoother and clearer video performance from the PVR?
I have been trying to solve this matter for a little while now.

Feedback is appreciated.

Rio.
