File Corruption

I know that this issue has picked up some threads already, but as an extra caution...

When using AirDisk, copying items using the Finder can randomly corrupt files. I have had dozens of corrupt jpegs. I just copied 134 jpgs from my desktop to the AirDisk. I tried it four different times. In each time between 11 and 14 images were garbled. Each time they were different images. The images still open in Preview but are either partially color shifted, or partially blanked out.

This is from an iMac G5 connected via ethernet to the base station and a WD MyBook 500 connected to the base station (nothing wireless for this workflow).

So be warned. AirDisk has been alpha quality for me. I love the functionality and speed but random file corruption is completely unacceptable.
