Firewire issues?

I have a 30 Gb video ipod and everytime I try to use firewire it says not supported. Whats up with that?

The Fifth Generation iPods and iPod nanos don't contain the necessary chip for FireWire synchronization. This was done partially to reduce the size of the iPod and partially to save money manufacturing them.

Oh I didnt know that. That is lame I need to get a ubs 2.0 card for this mac now

By the way, you can still charge via Firewire if you want. Just no data transfer.
