Qtime mov to wmv/wma

I am trying to make an audio .mov file into a .wma file but Quicktime will only save the first 30seconds of the file.

So I went online and bought Qtime Pro, registered it with the key. That was accepted but still when I export the .mov 15minute file to Windows Media it only saves 30 seconds.

Please could someone let me know how to save the full 15min file to wma

thanks 🙂

You can use VisualHub to do the conversion. I have a copy of this and find it very useful, since it will convert pretty much any of the big media formats. It does cost $23.32 but has already saved me a lot of money in time.

I have not tried using it to convert WMV so I am unsure of the results, but it is possible using the software.

Unless it does a great job with WMV making it a cheaper substitute for Flip4mac WMV export, it is overpriced for 99% of everyone else vs. iSquint from the same company or MPEG Streamclip .

Overpriced as these 2 alternatives are free. I have the dmg and have yet to bother trying it as there seems to be little reason to.

It is fast becoming over-recommended here for sure.

I love MPEG StreamClip, it's probably the best free software for the Mac. But it doesn't do FLV conversion and won't convert stuff FROM any format. VisualHub is cheaper than Quicktime Pro and does more.

I've not heard of iSquint before, I will check that out. It would be good if you did try a compression comparison of VisualHub vs Flip4Mac, at least then we'd know if VisualHub was worth the money rather than just hear-say.
