Qtime mov to wmv/wma

QuickTime doesn't export to Windows Media formats without third party software.
http://flip4mac.com will export 30 seconds in "trial" mode but you'll need to buy one of the upgrades to do a full conversion.

One of the more expensive upgrades as well to make windows media.

You can use VisualHub to do the conversion. I have a copy of this and find it very useful, since it will convert pretty much any of the big media formats. It does cost $23.32 but has already saved me a lot of money in time.

I have not tried using it to convert WMV so I am unsure of the results, but it is possible using the software.

Unless it does a great job with WMV making it a cheaper substitute for Flip4mac WMV export, it is overpriced for 99% of everyone else vs. iSquint from the same company or MPEG Streamclip .

Overpriced as these 2 alternatives are free. I have the dmg and have yet to bother trying it as there seems to be little reason to.

It is fast becoming over-recommended here for sure.

I love MPEG StreamClip, it's probably the best free software for the Mac. But it doesn't do FLV conversion and won't convert stuff FROM any format. VisualHub is cheaper than Quicktime Pro and does more.

I've not heard of iSquint before, I will check that out. It would be good if you did try a compression comparison of VisualHub vs Flip4Mac, at least then we'd know if VisualHub was worth the money rather than just hear-say.

It is being recommended by a lot of people because a lot of people have found it to be of use and it does a lot of things.

By your own admision, you have not even tried it so you are hardly qualified to comment on it.
