British Airways seat chewed up my Ipod. What do I do ?

Last week while on a long distance flight, my Ipod fell from the seat and when I reclined and then later made my seat upright. The Ipod which was lodged under the rail of the seat was distorted during the movement.

The Ipod is now completly damaged and beyond repair.

Can you tell me which email id I can send a request to Apple asking for some kindness and discount on replacing my Ipod.

Unless British Airways clearly advertised "iPod friendly seating", then your chances of recourse are probably nil. Unless you have the time and energy to be a pest or squeaky wheel. Sometimes just bugging someone enough is all you need to get them to cave.

However, in this situation, you are culpable. Accident? Yes. But British Airways' fault? No. And certainly not Apple's either. They've never claimed the iPod to be indestructible.
