No carriage return for item listing on eBay

I've just tried to list an item on eBay via Safari and am trying to put in a carriage return. I used to be able to type in something like ^p but that no longer works.

How can I insert a carriage return into the eBay listing. When I went to Live Chat, they said it is a Mac/Safari problem. Is that true?

Also, when I was on Live Chat, the letter "t" was not appearing when I typed, but it did appear when the other side typed. Again, they said that's a Safari issue and that I should try Firefox or somesuch.

I reported this letter "t" thing to eBay a year ago. Can it be that it still isn't fixed either from eBay or Apple?

Any comments welcome.

Hi Guy! 🙂

I'm not familiar with this specific issue but it's possible Ebay hasn't fixed the issue in a year sure. Since they tell you to use Firefox they are obviously overlooking the fact that Safari is the default Mac browser and not Firefox. So the problem is really on their end.

Hello Guy,

If I remember correctly br inside brackets will give a carriage return in a listing. p in the brackets gives you a new paragraph. I now use AppleWorks for all my listings and then save them as html which is one of the choices in the save menu.
