Garmin Forerunner 201

Question

Garmin Forerunner 201

I've just acquired a second hand Garmin Forerunner 201 and I have USB to serial adaptor. I can see the serial adaptor in system profiler but the Mac version of Training Centre is not detecting my GPS device.

I've also downloaded IB Running Log (third party software). In the preferences you are supposed to put in the device name but not sure how or where to find this.

iBook, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I would contact support with that specific device... Do a web search and see what you can find out there, there are always people out there somewhere who can help you configure that specific thing for your Mac. I doubt anyone on here would know anything more than what you have probably tried since it's such a specific device.

Thanks but its all sorted now. The adapter i was using wasn't compatible with Mac OSX so I returned it and bought one that is.

I'm currently enjoying analysing my running stats with my MacBook.
