Tony Iommi's Clean Tone...
I'm trying to simulate Tony Iommi's clean tone, like what he used for Solitude or the intro lead in Children of the Sea — for those familiar.
My setup is a Gibson SG with a Digitech RP150 pedal going into GB3 via USB. For clean tones I prefer to go raw from the pedal to GB and add effects in GB, so let’s assume I start with a good clean raw recording. Can someone give me pointers on how to simulate Iommi’s tone with what’s available in GB?
I know he has his own custom pickups and his finger tips were cut off, but I’m only willing to do so much. ;0)
