mouse freezes after sleep

After wakeup mouse doesn't function. If I unplug the mouse from keyboard and plug it back in and wait a minute or two it will work again with no problems till the next sleep when the problem happens all over again. I have swapped out oth the keyboard and mouse from another mac and still get the same problem.

I find that some web pages displayed in Safari cause my mouse to crash. (A web page causes a mouse crash! Something's really wrong here.)

I have to unplug the USB cable, and then plug it back in to get it to work again!

This happens whether I am on the internet or not. Doing work on desktop for a while, leave the mac, it goes to sleep....on wakeup can't do anything with mouse

I thought I may bave fixed this by running Disk permissions and Disc Warrior. It was fixed for a few days, now the problem is back again.
