Unknown processes running in my mac

Hey!
few times I heard the fans speeding up like crazy when I was doing nothing with my MacBookPro. I went to check the processes with iStat and I found out two unknown processes sucking both CPUs with 86% usage.
Is there any of you with an explanation for those unknown processes?

Thanks in advance

Alberto

If you're unix/terminal savvy, run the "top" command and that will show each and every process that is running on your system.

Otherwise, like the previous poster said, open up Activity Monitor. Make sure to select "show all processes" and then sort the list by processor use. Let us know what the names of the processes are that are sucking up all of your resources.
