Changing size of icons in sub folders

I know how to change the size of the icons in one folder or of all icons. How can I change all of the icons in my 'Pictures' directory and not all of the other directories?

When you go to the View->Show View Options you'll notice at the very top there are two items with radio buttons: This Window Only, and All Windows. The latter is checked by default, just click on the This Window Only button and the changes will only apply to the open window. Why All Windows is the default, and there is no way to change the default to This Window, I don't know. Drives me batty as I don't always remember to change it and generally one does the All Windows just once and from then on one only wants to customize individual windows. Ah well. Just try to remember to check it.

Thanks, Francine. That is what I have been doing for some time. Now, since I have been doing this. I have a lot of folders just as I wished to have them. However, with just one screw up, I have upset the apple cart. By and large, the ones I most want to control the icons, as large as possible, are those in my picture directory. They are unique in that they really show the contents from the icons. Other files do not and thus I do not want 128x128 icons, nor do I want to change all of the 128x128 icons I have already set. I would like to change all of the subdirectory icons without opening every folder and without change the icons for every application, document, etc.

Thanks,
PW

Actually, you can't mess up folders that already have an individual preference set. When you inadvertantly leave the All Folders button checked and set up something, it does NOT apply to folders that already have custom settings, but only to new folders or folders you have never opened. Just open a folder you want smaller icons in, then change the icon size to what you want, leaving the default All Folders. Any folder you already set individually to 128x128 will retain its individual setting, but any folder you have not already set, nor already opened with some other setting in place, and all new folders, will have your new setting.
