SAFARI NOT COMPATIBLE

I have been running into a lot of sites not compatible with safari now. For example the USAir site, some of my banks, credit cards etc. I have been getting in with Firefox but does that mean Safari is becoming less friendly? I find I have to switch browsers a lot now.

Hello Amore,

if you do not have the Debug menu enabled, enabling it makes selecting a browser, with which to open a page with & faster, & within Safari as shown below......

User uploaded file

To enable the Debug, you can use the Terminal app. (Utilities folder) , OnyX the Freeware cleaning tool, or Safari Enhancer.
If you download Onyx be sure to get the correct version for your os,

To use the Terminal app to enable debug...

Quit Safari,
Launch Terminal app.
Copy & paste () the command below exactly as is,into a Terminal window,
Click return, you'll be prompted for your admin password,
Enter password (it won't be echoed) click return.

Launch Safari, the debug menu should appear as the last menu item in
the Safari menu bar.

Safari still seems to be the favoured browser in this poll.

For the most part it isn't a Safari problem.

Yes it is...or at least it is an Apple problem...In my experience there are more and more sites that are not safari compatible. The problem is getting worse...not better.

It's the sloppy page code at many Sites that do not
play "nice" with a modern browser. Most were written
specifically for Internet Explorer.
You've found the solution. Use more than one Web

browser until those Sites become "standards based"
instead of IE based.

Again, "until" is not going to come unless Apple starts working harder with the major airline and hotel sites. Apple needs to be pro active because the wintel geeks are not going to do this on there own
