cant get on itunes store

all of the sudden i cannot connect to the itunes store. it says to check my network, but everything else seems to be running fine. what could be the problem ?

Yep same problem here in the UK too! It's been over a week, but tonight was the first time I eventually managed to do an album before the same message appeared yet again :'o(

I have reported it through iTunes Feedback - have you guys too? if everyone reports it, p'raps they might prioritise it faster......

I agree kvance, this ***** completely.
Merely a coincidence we're almost all from Houston, TX in this thread as I see there are hundreds of people with the same problems all around the world.
Plus, imagine how many people have this problem too but do log into Apple Discussions.
Just of of curiosity, everybody using iTunes release 7.1.1?

I'm currently able to get on without any problems. I'm crossing my fingers. I was able to get on for about 30 minutes over the weekend, but then it went back down again. Hopefully this time it's a little more permenant.

Oh and just to follow up, I also have TVMax as my ISP. I e-mailed their tech support and they say the do not have any ports blocked.
