TV Series Episodes not in sequence

Episodes are not in sequence in the Apple TV Menu List (example Friends Seasons) when accessing using iTunes as the Source. I checked to make sure that they are in sequence in the Music Folder and in the iTunes Playsists. Any idea's?

I had the same problem with two Anime series I just purchsed off iTMS. I had to read the episode numbers in the description to play them in the correct order. I believe they play in the order in which they finish downloading and when I purchased the whole season some of the episodes finish downloading quicker than earlier episodes.

I believe Apple TV orders TV episodes based on the information in the "Get Info" section of iTunes. Even if you bought these episodes from the iTunes store, if they are not in the correct sequence in your Apple TV, you should check the "Get Info" section and see if there are discrepancies there. I've experienced this problem a few times with videos from the iTunes store.

Have the same problem:
Complete Information in the Get-Info / Video-Window but still in "random order":
I found out that AppleTV sorts the shows in alphabetical order using the information given in the Get-Info / Infos -> Title field whilst ignoring articles like "The" (-> quite easy to see if you have scrubs etc.)
The only workaround I came up with so far is either adding the consecutive episode number to the title (i.e. "123 Lame Example" as found on tv.com) or use the episode number in the Sorting / Title for Sorting field (sorry, working with the German Version so I dunno the proper names of these fields...)

This is how I fixed it:

First, in the episode ID field, enter the season+episode number--numbers only. E.g., the Lost season finale would be 322, not 0322, not S03E22, and definitely not the episode name--that goes on the first pane.

Ensure that the show, season # and episode # fields are completed.

Select all episodes, and ensure that Name, Album, Album Artist, and Artist fields are identical. While you're at it, add artwork too.

It was tedious, but I now have an impeccably organized video library on AppeTV.
