Viewing ALT tags

I've done some searching through the forum but have not been able to find anything directly addressing this... I want to know if there is a way to view the ALT tags for images without going into the page source code? My example: I am an avid whale watcher, and watch several sites for their recent sightings reports. Sometimes I use images posted to help identify whales I have seen on my own trips. On this page:

http://www.coastalstudies.org/what-we-do/education-programs/whale-watching/wwsig htingsMay07.htm

they are using ALT tags to identify specific whales and/or species seen. Now, using Firefox on my work PC, I can right click an image and select properties to view the ALT. I have tried but not hit upon any keyboard shortcuts for Safari. The only time I see any ALT text in a mouseover is when the image is also a link.

Is there a way to get to the ALT tag through a regular viewing window? Thanks in advance...

I looked at your link in Firefox vs Safari & see what you mean, the alt attribute is indeed very helpful..

See if this link helps for more information on "how to" using PithHelmet a safari extender.

Hope this helps, please let us know how you fare.
Good luck!!
