Forcing iPod to sort albums by year instead of alphabetically?

Hi all.

I know this was not possible in the past, but the last time I saw a question asked about this issue in the archives was over a year ago. So I'm hoping it's been added as a feature by now.

Is there a way to force sorting of albums by release year instead of alphabetically, on the iPod? I have iTunes itself set to sort them this way, and it works just as advertised, but I'd like my iPod to sort them that way as well. When I have more than twenty albums by Rush listed, it would be nice to go through the list in chronological order instead of alphabetically (which makes no sense).

If this has been added as a feature by now, please let me know!
