Questionmarks in text

I get questionmarks in text in certain pages in Safari. Especially for the Norwegian letter å.

For example in the following page that has the tag:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="no" lang="no">

and the adress :
http://events.adobe.co.uk/events/cgi/main.cgi?country=no#top

I do not have the same problem in Firefox.

Does it have something to do that I changed the preference in mail to:

defaults write com.apple.mail NSPreferredMailCharset "UTF-8"

Or is this a special problem for Safari?

The problem is caused by erroneous html coding which Firefox tolerates but Safari does not. If you switch View > Text Encoding to Western Latin-1, the ? in the Adobe site button goes away.

No. Mail preferences have nothing to do with Safari or any other app.

Or is this a special problem for Safari?

Adobe needs to fix its page, which has two different charsets stipulated, which is totally wrong.
