System freezes during last few seconds of every song...
Greetings, iTunes people:
Since upgrading to iTunes 7.0.2.16, my entire system (a pretty quick Dell Dimension 8200) freezes during the last few seconds of silence of every single song in iTunes. Can't switch windows. Can't move the mouse. Can't type anything. Can only scream to the heavens, "WHY? WHY? WHY?" before collapsing in the fetal position, weeping like a small child.
I've seen this problem/question all over these discussion boards with no resolution. Yes, I've messed with every possible crossfade setting and every gapless album setting. It is the most maddening tech issue I've had in a long, long time. No fun using my computer for other work while iTunes is playing, because my system "pauses" (I'm being kind) every four minutes or so. Arrrghhh!
Does anyone have a solution? Has anyone been able to fix this problem? Does anyone from Apple review these boards? Is this text box actually connected to anything, or is it some kind of Fisher-Price toy with dials that spin but which do nothing?
Please help. If I had a first-born son, he would be awarded to the person who actually solves this problem for me. Help me, iTunes people -- you're my only hope.
