How to shut down the program/Mac when some proagram is non responsive.

Hi,

Recently, on couple of ocassions some programe were non responsive which were unable me to close that partcular application. In PC, we genrally press cnrt altdel and close the programe by click "end task". Cany anyone suggest what needs to done to address such situations. Do we have any option by which we close that programe "by force" ?

Any pointers in this regard would be of great help.

Hi

Right-click on application's icon, in the Dock, & choose Force Quit.

Another way:

-⌥-⎋ (Cmd-Alt-Esc) brings up Force Quit Applications window.
Choose application.
Choose Force Quit. (If you choose Finder, button becomes Relaunch. This similar to 'Rebuild Desktop'.)
