We're moving to China in September. I don't have Apple TV now. I'm thinking about getting it if i can use it to buy and watch TV shows and movies from the US.
is that possible?

Hi, I live in China, and yes it's possible for you to do this. There's no iTunes China store, but if you've already got a US iTunes account (with a US billing address) then you'll still be able to buy movies, TV, and music once you move to China.
Clarification: my address is registered as 'Macau,' but I currently live in Shanghai, ie. mainland China. iTunes works well here, as long as you have an account from another country's iTunes store.
I spend a lot of time working outside of the U.S. and I am able to download my season pass iTunes video when I am abroad. As long as you have a debit or credit card from a U.S. bank and a U.S. billing address you should be able to use the U.S. iTunes store but I've never tried it from China so I can't say with absolute certainty that you can do it from there.
Great news.
thanks for the comments.
I think I'll buy Apple TV and take my chances that I can continue to buy the content using my US address and CreditCard.
