Screen turns purple and then freezes to a power shut down screen

Hello everyone,
I have a Power Mac G5 that crashes regularly now. It was happening months ago and we thought it was a problem with the electricity in the house and we had the entire house rewired. That seemed to have stopped the problem until a few days ago. Now it freezes and then the screen goes to a purple tint and crashes. The final screen is a bunch of horizontal lines with the power icon in the back. I have a picture of the final screen I can post or email. I have searched the forum for similar problems but havent found anything. I have 2 gigs of aftermarket RAM, which I thought might be the problem but I am not sure. There is no specific pattern that I can find. This is my main computer for my business.

I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Power Mac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.9), dual 2.7 G5, 2 1/2 Gigs of RAM
