iPod Shuffle went thru washing machine

I accidentally threw my 2-week-old iPod Shuffle into the washing machine machine yesterday. I caught it before it went thru the dryer. Now it doesn't work. Nothing happens when i try to turn it on. Does anyone know if it can be repaired?

Put it in a warm dry place and leave it there for a few days (a week would be better) before attempting to connect it to your computer or any power source.

I have also had to deal with the ipod washing machine deal....I put mine in the oven at 125º for about an hour and got the screen to show the dark apple...and then it went dead...did it again for another hour and i got it to re-initialize and updated the software and even loaded a couple of songs (thinking conservatively--which is not my normal bent)....

that went ok but as i got cocky (and liberal at the same time) i tried to download a few more songs to it and it went dead again...

put it in for another hour and got the screen to light when i hooked it up to USB 2.0 port...but it only stayed lit for a few seconds...then went black again....and since then no luck...

I have it in the oven again as we speak but i have no illusions as to the success of this effort...but i'm watching the NBA playoffs and i did (really) stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night!!
