Uninstall WWAN Update?

Hi all,

I am attempting to configure a Verizon V740 broadband access card on a MacBook Pro. According to the instructions that came with the thing, I should be able to just use Apple's WWAN update to detect, activate and use the card. This, however, did not work. I then called Verizon's technical support, who suggested I uninstall this update and install their access manager software. They are offering absolutely no more support than that. I really, really hate Verizon. Is it even possible to uninstall the WWAN update? Should I be attempting something else? After doing all sorts of things suggested by their tech support staff, the thing is now completely messed up; the configuration no long has the account listed, Internet Connect doesn't have a configuration for it, nothing. Any ideas or information would be helpful, since Verizon is completely useless.
