Virtual PC on Mac Book Pro?

I have recently bought a mac book pro 17' which has a 2.16 GHz Intel Dual core processor. I really need to run virtual pc on it (unfortunately!). On the Microsoft office & virtual pc package I have it reads that it is compatible with G3, G4, G5 processors. Does anyone have experience with Microsoft virtual PC on a Mac like mine? Which "G" does this Mac actually have??

Many thanks!
Michael

Hi Michael!

Virtual PC can only run on PowerPC Macs, not on your Intel Mac. The "G" products stop at "G5" and then the Mac Pro line starts.

The alternative is to use Parallels <http://www.parallels.com> or Boot Camp <http://www.apple.com/bootcamp>. However, you can't use the Windows OS that came with Virtual PC. You'll need to use a full retail copy.

Hope this helps! bill
