RAM swap possible?

Hi all!

I've got a Mini with 512MB PC3200U and a PB 12" with 1GB PC2700U.

Can I just swap these modules successfully?

Welcome to the Apple discussions.

No, the memory is not swappable. Your G4 mini uses memory that's got 184 pins, and your Powerbook uses memory with 200 pins. Plus, the form factors are different.

Looks like I'm in the market for a 1G RAM module for the Mini.

If you haven't already, you might want to read this note on mini memory: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300572 . I used the recommended PC2700 memory from Crucial when I upgraded mine, works fine.
