Exporting 720p foorage for playback on PS3

I have some video which I would like to convert and load into a Play Station 3 for playback. My video's current settings are the following:

DVCPRO HD 720P 60 960x720 (1248x702),Millions, 23.98 fps

I have tried to export it to H.264 burning it on DVD and loading it on the PS3 but the playstation did not detect anything on the DVD. More importantly I really just want to find out the proper settings I need to use to export a PS3 compatible clip maintaining "awesome" quality. After all, the footage is HD. Right?

Anyone done this before?
