I have all of the up-to-date Java software (or at least I think) however when I open websites I get a picture of a coffee cup. I tried to delete all of my java software and reinstall but that didn't work well so I just reupdated everything. I recently switch over from my Gateway to a MacBook and I love it but I'm getting VERY frustrated with Java not working correctly. If someone could help me or give me suggestions on how to fix this problem that would be much appreciated!

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions!I see you are running Tiger 10.4.7. You need to update to 10.4.9. Here's how you do that.Click the Apple logo top left side of your Menu, then click: Software UpdatesThe Software Updater will take of the rest for you. When it's finished, reboot. If the problem still exists, post back.Carolyn

Silly question perhaps, but you have remembered to activate Java in Safari's preferences?
