upgrading to 2gb ram in macbook

Yes, the MacBook only has 2 slots for RAM, and they're all occupied. You can't use the original sticks. You have to buy 2 1GB sticks. You were all right about these.

Isn't it possible to replace one 512mb ram stick with
a 1gb stick and leave the other 512mb stick in? Might
be an option if you can't afford 2-1gb sticks right away.
Although I'm guessing they charge a premium for buying
one at a time.

You can run with 1.5 GB of RAM and it will not effect performance in any measurable way unless you're trying to play F.E.A.R. on your MacBook, in which case you're already an optimist;-)

Yes it will work fine. I used 1.25 gb of Ram for 8 months and had no problems. Just last week I finally got another gig stick and have 2 gb:->

Yes that memory will work, but I think that link you sent is for 1 x 1 GiB stick, and if so the price is very expensive. For comparison, if you were to buy the same memory at Crucial (which is a reputable supplier) it would cost you around €50 including shipping, so approximately 464 SEK.

If you were to buy 2 x 1 GiB sticks from Crucial, which you need if you want 2 GiB RAM in total, then it will cost about €92 or 846 SEK, inclusive of shipping.

Ok then. Well i found the same memory for a smaler price:

2x341 sek = 682kr total for 2x1024MB so that is as cheep as you can find them (here i sweden anyway)
I just wanted to verify that i had picked the right model.
I`ve heard and read that you should not pick Crosair for Macbook but Kingston will work fine.

The Crucial memorys you are reffering to i cant find dealers for here in sweden and i dont want to buy from another country.
