iCal publishes empty (0 byte) files

Every time I publish an iCal calendar, the resulting file (written to a server I have access to) is empty, 0 bytes.
I'm then trying to open the calendar in Google Calendar.

Any ideas?

Thresher, Mac OS X (10.4.9), iCal 2.0.5

What method are you using to publish you calendars?

Users who have posted comments in the thread below, have the same problems, because they are trying to publish via FTP

If that applies to you, try Scalp:

This error (ics-files taking up 0kb) can be a result of the web-host having set the PHP-settings to safe mode ON. Having safe mode OFF is (apparently?) a potential security hazard, and as such, most hosting companies will have safe mode activated.
