Software Update

Hi,

For the last couple of days everytime I download an update through software update it fails to install though the download apparently comes through. it says "none of the checked updates could be installed. Sorry, an unexpected error occurred."

Anyone seen this before, how do you fix it?

Mac book pro, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I've seen it a few times, but the exact fix varies... sometimes I just have to wait for the Internet to straighten out, but usually doing Applejack...

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...

applejack AUTO

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.

At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.

Other times I have to trash some plists or Package Receipts.

Then, if all else fails... I goto Apple's D/L site and get it that way.
