ibook G4 internal modem override

I have a friend with a ibook G4 and we have set her up with a DSL connection and Airport Express Wireless network. The airport network is working but her ibook keeps wanting to dial the internal modem to connect to the internet when she launches email or web browser.

Any help would be appreciated.
