Canon scanner MF4140

I just bought a new Canon MF4140 printer/scanner/fax for my MacBook. According to the Canon description there should be no issue to use it under Mac OSX.
I installed the drivers from the Canon web page and all functions are working except the scanner. I tried VueScan, Digital pictures and scangear from Canon but I could not get the scanner running. The response from Canon support was not very helpful, too. Does someone have experience with this type of Canon scanner?

Thanks

I have the exact same problem. The printer works perfectly, scanner not at all. Strangely on the system requirements on the (separate) scanner manual the OSX is not mentioned, eventhough the machine is supposed to support mac... Canon, wake up!

Is there any ideas how to make the scanner work?

Thanks,
