Sync with Sony Ericsson T300

Greetings,

I have:
A SONY Ericsson T300
A USB cable for the phone
Iphone Agent
a Macbook with Mac OS X 10.4.9, 2ghz intel core 2 Duo, 1Go 667Mhz DDR2

I would like to synchronize my phone to the Mac (note: the phone T300 is NOT bluetooth). How can I do it?

When I plug the usb cable to the phone and to the Mac nothing happens on the desktop - nothing happens in Iphone agent (it tells me that there is nothing connected), nothing happens on the phone... Can you help, pleaaaaaaase?

You cannot sync a Sony Ericsson T300 with your Mac.

Firstly, it is a VERY old phone (from late 2003) and as you say, it doesn't have Bluetooth.

Until very recently you couldn't sync any Sony Ericsson phone via USB Cable, and even now, USB syncing support from Apple is only available to 12 Sony Ericsson models, and an additional 17 models from us.

So, unfortunately, you will be unable to use iSync with your T300 - its simply too old, and doesn't have the necessary features.

I've never heard of "Iphone Agent", unless you mean . If so, I would suggest contacting them, but I guess they will tell you the same, as the T300 is not listed as a supported model.

You may be able to read/write the phonebook memory using GSM Remote, but that isn't syncing.

That's actually what I meant - it was MacMedia's Phone Agent... In their website it says:

Product Requirements:

Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later (Universal Binary)
Intel, G5 or G4 Mac
Bluetooth USB adapter or built-in Bluetooth
Sony Ericsson T610, T616, T630, T637, Z600, K700i, K750i, K790i, K800i, W800i, W880i mobile phone

Other Sony Ericsson phones
Some features of PhoneAgent may also work with these phones but the phones are not supported officially: Sony Ericsson F500i, K320i, K500c, K500i, K510a, K510i, K600i, K608i, K610i, K618i, K550i, S700i, S710a, T300, T310, T39m, T608, T62u, T68, T68i, V600i, V630i, V800, W300i, W600i, W610i, W700i, W710i, W712a, W810i, W830i, W850i, W900i, Z1010, Z300i, Z310a, Z310i, Z500a, Z520a, Z520i, Z525a, Z525i, Z530i, Z550i, Z610i, Z710i, Z712a

The T300 is on their list - so I wondered about how to sync the T300 with the software... Any idea?

You speak about GSM remote - can I transfer my address book of my mac into the phone with GSM remote? What about events like Ical?
I downloaded the product - softwae- and I am in preferences - there is only one choice - powerbook - how can I have it work?

Actually, on MacMedia's site it says of the T300:

Some features of PhoneAgent may also work with these phones but the phones are not supported officially.

So there's no guarantees there at all.

I'm afraid I can't advise any further on either PhoneAgent or GSM Remote, as I have not used either of these programs with a T300.

However, I am a registered user of both products and have found the authors to be very helpful when I have contacted them. I would suggest sending them an email.
