HP "Hands" Commercial

I'm looking to simulate the HP "Hands" commercials with Jay-Z, Shaun White etc. I'm not going to be doing any 3-D graphics, I'm just looking to basically have our hands pulling, pushing and throwing photos that are videos. I've read all the "how-to" posts that say it must be done in AE, but I'm wondering if there's a way to do it using either FCP or Motion.

PS-I don't have the latest FCP Studio upgrade.
